Our sense Organs

Our sense organs are the body ‘s windows to the outside world. They are skin, tongue, nose, ears and eyes.our senses organs have a special ability to pick up information and send it to the brain. The brain decides and gives order for the right action or response to all the organs of the body.
Eyes
Our eyes help us to see things. They act like a camera. They are very sensitive and can differentiate the shapes, colours and sizes of the things around us. Our eyes have eyelids and eyelashes so that dust cannot enter them. We have eyes at front of our head. This helps both the eyes to look at on object. Our brain produces a thre-dimensional image. We can see where a things is. We can see how far it is from us . we can also see how fast something moving. When there are no lights, we cannot see much at first. Slowly, we can see more objects in the dark. It takes our eyes about 20 minutes to adjust to darkness.
Ears
Our ears help us to hear sounds. An ear has three parts: the outer, middle and the inner ear. They also control the balance of our body. Deaf people control the balance of our body . deaf people cannot  hear. They use sign language to ,talk, to others. They make different hand signs to tell others  what they are saying.

Tongue
Our tongue helps us to taste things. These tastes can be sweety, salty, sour or bitter. The tongue has small pores called taste buds on it. The tongue helps us digest our food. The tongue also helps us to speech.

Nose
Our nose helps us to smell things, and breathe.it tells us if a things smells good or bad. Our nose can differentiate between 10,000 different smells. The nerves in the nose pick up the smell in the air and send signal to the brain. The brain reads the signal and tells us what kind of smell it is.
We cannot smell very well when we catch a cold. Dogs have a very good senses of smell.

Wisdom beats cunning

Once upon a time, a jackal was roaming in search of food. He kept wandering for long but could find no prey. Then he reached a steam that flowered through the forest.
The steam was abounded with water-animals. Some tortoise had come out of the steam and were strolling. The jackal decided to approach one of them and grab it for himself. So, he moved further light-footedly.
The jackal had just got near a tortoise when it happened to sneeze. Hearing it all the tortoise ran pell-mell and rushed back into the stream. But one of them could not do so in time.
The jackal hurries towards the tortoise and pounced of it.
He heeds it under his foot and tried to bite its flesh. But the tortoise had already pulled its body inside its shell. Jackal tried his best to break the shell of the tortoise but he could not succeed. He was at a loss to understand how to do it.
The tortoise was very wise and clever. It said to the jackal, “you seem to be very ignorant, Mr. jackal. When dry the shell of the tortoise is very hard. Put me into water for some time and it will become soft. Then you will be able to eat it easily.” The silly jackal was taken in by the sweet words of the tortoise. He took the tortoise to the bank of stream and put it into water. With a sudden jerk, the tortoise slipped out of his mouth into the water. Reaching the mid-stream, it called out to the jackal, “no doubt, jackal are very clever, but some of them like you are extremely silly too.”
The jackal felt highly ashamed and repented on his folly.

Akbar and Birbal

Once Emperor Akbar fell ill. The doctor was readily called in. Since the doctor did not like Birbal, one of Akbar’s nine gems, he planned to teach Birbal a lesson and thought for the King’s remedy accordingly. Soon the doctor felt the pulse of the Emperor in order to diagnose him. He said to Akbar, “Your Majesty! I have a medicine that will heal you up again but you must take it with bull’milk.”
Akbar was taken aback and asked, “ where will I get bull’s milk?” Please ask “birbal to arrange it for you,” said the cunning doctor. Birbal was puzzled when he came to know about it. But some how he overcame that state of mind, and realised that it was the trick of the doctor to leave him the lurch.
Birbal came back home grim and gloomy. Being asked by his daughter, he described her the whole matter. No sooner had she listened to her father than she got ready to carry out this responsibily.
At midnight, when all the people of the town where fast asleep, BIrbal’s daughter took a pile of clothes and reached the river just below Akbar’s bedroom’s window. She began to wash them making peculiar below sound : Thwak! Splash! Thwak! Akbar could not help scolding his guard and sent him to find out the person making so much noise in the night. The guard reached the spot. However to his surprise, he saw that a lady was washing her clothes. The guard asked her sternly, “Who are you? The lady replied,” I am my father’s daughter.”
The guard asked impatiently, “Who I syour father?” Hse said he is my mother’s husband.” Being impatient and irritated the guard thought he would hardly collect any information from her this way. So he told her to appear before the Emperor.
When the girl appreared before the Emperor, Akbar asked her,”Why were you washing clothes in the middle of the night?” Your Majesty! I beg your pardon because I could not help ot. I needed clean clothes for my father who had given birth to a baby,” She said Akbar was in utter astonishment. The girl replied,” Your Majesty, nothing is impossible these days. If a bull can give milk, why can’t a man give birth to a baby?”
As soon as akbar heard this explanation, he instantly guessed who she was! Such a clever and witty girl could only be Birbal’s daughter.
He laughed and said ,” you won. Now you go home and inform your father that I accept my defeat.

Manners Maketh the Man

There is saying “ Manners maketh the man|”. This means that we can judge a person by his manners. A well-bred person has good manners. An ill-bred person is ilkl-mannered. A miser, a thief, a gentleman, a selfish person and a proud man will all show themselves by their manners. A person’s manners often reveal what kind of person he or she is.
The way we speak to others is sign of the respect we have for them. If we speak softly and use polite language, people will know that we are educated. If we talk in harsh tones, use bad language, we will be considered ill-mannered and uneducated. We must also take care to use language that people can understand. Some people try to show off by speaking a language that only a few people can understand. This foolish and vain.
If we use words that are coarse or dirty, it only shows that our thought are also crude and evil. Our good manners depend to great extent upon the words we choose when we talk to each other.
A well manned person will use words that show gentleness such as please move a side instead of get out of my way stupid. The words we use therefore tell others of our ideas, thoughts and general behaviour.
But having goods manners means more than merely using correct words than merely using correct words in n our speech. It includes doing the right things at the right time. Some people are very selfish.
They want to keep the best things for themselves. At the table, it would be bad manners if start eating the best things before offering them to others. Also it would be bad manners to snatch at the sweet dish or take more than our fair share of sweets.
A well-mannered person thinks of others before he thinks of himself, not only at the dining table but at all other times as well. The most comfortable chair should be offered to ladies and elderly people. They should be allowed to go through a door first. We should greet others first and not wait for them to greet us. Men should stand up when ladies enter a room.
